LEARN MORETom grew up in County Cavan in Ireland, the history of which inspired Tom in the naming of our company. Originally founded as East Briéfne in 1256, to this day, County Cavan is nicknamed ‘The Breffni County – if heaven existed on earth, it would be Cavan’.
Tom moved to Australia with his family in 2010. He is a hardworking family man who enjoys camping and has a passion for motorbikes and cars. After a successful career in construction spanning 20 years, Tom decided to embark on a new challenge and Breffni Ceilings & Partitions was created in 2010, followed by an exciting scope extension and relaunch as Breffni Commercial Interiors Pty Ltd in 2022.
Highly skilled in operational, financial and staff management, Tom is an excellent leader and is adept at balancing his focus on the development of the business, while remaining an integral part of the day-to-day operations and client management. Well versed in all aspects of estimating, value engineering and project management, Tom’s expertise and breadth of knowledge in commercial fit-out makes him a true leader in his field.
Originally from Gladstone, an avid cyclist and dedicated family man, Lee brings 20 years’ experience in domestic and commercial construction. Qualified in Cert 3 Carpentry & Joinery, Cert 4 Building and Construction and with a Building and Construction Diploma under his belt, Lee’s wealth of experience spans the commercial corporate, medical, retail and hospitality sectors.
Lee is well versed in overseeing a fast paced, wide and challenging project portfolio and his level of care and commitment to each and every project is unwavering. He is a Project Manager of the highest calibre with excellent people management, communication and organisation skills and his attention to detail is exemplary. The engine of the organisation, Lee is dedicated to delivering every project to the brief, on time and within budget.
Our newest recruit, John grew up in Dorrigo, NSW and although he’s now part of the furniture in QLD having moved here in 1988, he still barracks for the blues!
John brings a wealth of knowledge and industry experience. He’s been involved in fit-out works since 2006 in various roles including Construction Manager, Project Manager, Estimator and Contracts Administrator. Having completed a successful 10-year career with a leading Australia-wide commercial fit-out company, we’re thrilled to have him on board.
John is a calm, cool and collected character with delightful old-school values; he’s polite, loyal and trustworthy, a joy to have around the office. Being thoroughly organised, patient and an excellent communicator are key strengths of John’s and essential to the role. He underpins the main operations of the business, juggling a constant influx of estimating and procurement tasks – no easy task!
John is a doting dad and grandad who enjoys family time and is passionate about fishing and farming; especially when coupled with a cold beer or two.
Born and raised in Hertfordshire, UK, Kaz is a dedicated mum of three and a lover of music and entertaining. She enjoyed a 12-year project management career in media, delivering a large portfolio of viewer services for live TV productions such as I’m a Celebrity, Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor.
In 2016, Kaz began her Australian journey in Sydney where she spent 5 years with a newly launched, high-end residential building company. During her time there, she developed their admin, WHS, financial and operational management systems and processes, to provide scalable support for the businesses rapid growth.
We were delighted to bring Kaz on board in May 2021, to assist with an overhaul of our internal systems and processes, and to provide ongoing support to our business. A key member of the Breffni team, Kaz’s knowledge and experience across multiple business areas, combined with a meticulous approach and great attention to detail keeps us running like a well oiled engine!
